The Council of the Village of Exeter met in the Town 1141, on Friday, Aug. 7th. The members all present. Min- utes of meeting held July 17th read and approved. Walker asked the Council to open the ditch on Main St. north to allow the surface water to get away which he claimed was soaking through his cellar. Referred to committee... Mr. F. W. Madman representing the Cemetery- Board interviewed the Council in regard the placing of a new fence in front of the cemetery. The board he stated had cotne to the con- clusion that it would be the most econ- omical in the long run to erect an iron fence with post set in cement. Plans and estimates were laid before the Council for their consideration. Knight--Hea►nan-That the action of the Cemetery Board be approved of, and they are hereby authorized to pro- ceed with the ordering and erection of the sante. An amendment Ly A. E. Hartle was of a quietand nailing disposition and highly respected by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her loss three children, Lizzie and Ilenry at home and Mrs, Antal Gollen.
