Hicks' Forecasts For November.
A Regular Storm Period extends
from Friday the 22nd, to Tuesday the
26th. It is central on the 23rd, the
Hoon being at the same time at ex-
treme north declination. During this
period look for marked depression of
the harometer•,highertemperature and
more rain, turning to snow north and
were.. about the 23rd, 21th and 25th.
But for the presence of Jupiter and
Saturn periods, this storm period, and
in fact all the periods in November,
are comparatively free fraru combina-
tions of storm causes. Notwithstand-
ing, it will he the part of prudence to
anticipate some disagreeable, if not
forceful, autumnal storms between the
23rd and 2tith. High barometer and
change to colder, frost and freezing
will follow the disturbances of this
period.
Wedded at Brantford.
A very quiet yet nevertheless pretty
wedding was celebrated at Brantford
on 'Thursday. Nov. 11, when one of
our most popular young ladies, in the
person of Miss Gertrude Anderson,
eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (leo.
Anderson of town, became the happy
bride of Mr. E. H. Vrooman,
operator at Harrisburg. The winsome
,ride looked the picture of lowliness,
being attired in it beautiful gown of
white silk and carrying an exquisite
shower bouquet of white roses. Her
travelling suit was of rich green vel-
vet with hat to match, presenting a
most bewitching appearance. The
nuptial knot was securely tied by Rev.
Mr. Harvey, of the Methodist church.
After the honeymoon, which is being
spent in Toronto and London. Mr. and
Mrs. Vrooman will settle down to the
sterner realities of life at Harrisburg.
The many friends here join in wishing
the happy couple one long sensor of
pleasure and prosperity. The At. o•
