dicks' Forecasts For November.
A Reactionary Storm Period falls
on the lath, 10th and 20th, etnhracing
Moon in opposition, or full Moon on
the 10th, This period will bring fall-
ing barometer, with corresponding
rise of temperature, followed prompt-
ly by cloudiness, rain and possibly
snow. The full Moon periods, and
those of the new Moon as well, are
times when seismic shakes are far
more frequent. They are also tiles
when gales are more certain and sev-
ere on the lakes and north Atlantic.
A11 this is especially true about the
month of November. Change to touch
colder will rush down from the north-
west about the 10th to 22nd. All who
have observed closely have seen that
a maximum of rough and stormy
weather over all the great lakes is
reached almost invariably in Novem-
ber. Shippers and navigators should
never forget this fact.
