Hicks' Forecasts for September.
A Regular Storm Period covers the
closing week of September. It is cen-
tral on the 27th and its culminating
days fall on F,•iday the 27th to Sun-
day the `29th. This period will bring
its change to warmer, falling baro-,
meter and return of marked storm
conditions. The chances are that
September will be disturbed, if not
phenomenally stortny and out of joint,
to the last. Such may not be the case
—we do not affirm positively that it
will. But we do say that the astrono-
mic outlook for this month strongly
points to such results. We do not
mean that great calamities are inevit-
able, or that the foundations of nature
will be out of order; but unless there
is a compensating resultant of warring
forces that we can not now see, the
meteorological record for September,
taking the whole world over, will ap-
proach the phenomenal,
