DEATH OF JOHN GLAVIN.-This com-
munity bas been sadly shocked by the
unexpected and almost sodden death
of one of McGillivray's best known
and most highly esteemed residents,
Mr. John Glavin of the North Bound-
ary, who passed away on Sunday last.
About a week previous to his demise,
deceased was afflicted in an unknown
manner with blood poisoning, but
nothing serious waa thought of it un-
til just a day or so before hie death
when it was realized that his condition
was becoming worse and little hope
held out for his recovery. The heat
medical aid was in attendance and be
was cared for most assidirously by his
immediate relatives, but till to no avail
and the deadly disease brought about
the sad end. Mr. Glavin was one of
the best and most progressive farmers
in the township. and by his strict in-
tegrity, straight forward dealings,
coupled with his many other good
qualities he had endeared himself to a
large circle of friends who will deeply
regret his demise. Ile was about fifty
years of age and a consistent member
of the Roman Catholic church, Ile -
sides the sorrow stricken widow he is
survived by several of a family.

On common fencea the continuous
wire stays are sure to bend and the locks
to lose their grip under continual pres-
sure of your horses or cattle. And once
they do, the top wire, soon followed by
those below, will sag and destroy
efficiency of your fence.
Nothing liko that can happen to ou
Dillon Ilioge-Stay Fence. The short,
stiff hard steel wire in our hinge stays
cannot bend when tho lateral wires are
weighted down, owing to their being so
abort and Jointed at each strand wire -
Pressure of a horse on the top wire brings the "hinges” in the stays into action
and prevents thorn from bending, and when pressure ie relieved the fence springs back
into place again.
The lateral wires are IIIgh-Carbon hard Steel and coiled to provide for
expansion and contraction by hent and cold, and are also crimped at the interteetlon
of the stays and strands to prevent the stays from slipping sideways—therefore no locks
are needed,
Buy the Dillon Hinge -Stay Fence. It'a "twice as strong." Twice as good an
investment. Catalogue free.
