Ottawa to take her position as steno-
grapher during the session of the Dom-
inion Parliament.
Messrs. F. Buchanan and W. J.
Haines are in Toronto this week attend-
ing the annual meeting of the Ontario
Council, R. T. of T.
Mr. A. H. Musgrove, M. L. A., left
on Monday for Toronto to attend the
season, accompanied by Mrs. Musgrove
who will be present at the opening
ceremonies of the Legislature.

CHURCH NOTES.
Regular services will be held in the
Methodist Church next Lord's Day,
Rev, D. Wren, M. A., of Brussels, will
preach at both services. Mr. Wren is a
very interesting speaker and a cordial
welcome is extended to all.
Rev. J. W. Hibbert will preach Ep-
worth League sermons in Brussels next
Sunday. ,
CHURCH OF ST. PAUL THE APOSTLE.
Holy Communion will be celebrated
next Sunday at 8.30 a. m.
Divine Service will be held in the
Church on Ash Wednesday at 7.30p. m.
Subject "The Observance of Lent."
Next Sunday the subject of the ser-
mon at Morning Prayer will be "The
Three Temptations of our Lord." In the
evening the rector will preach his regu-
lar monthly sermon to men, taking as
his subject, "Rubbish". All men
cordially welcome.
The Friday evening services during
Lent will commence next week. Ad-
desses will be delivered at these ser-
vices on "Some Actors in Our Lord's
Passion."
The W. A. will meet on Thursday
afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the Girls'
Auxiliary on Friday at 2.30 in the Parish
Hall.
The Fortnightly meeting of the St.
Andrew's Brotherhood will be held at
the Rectory on Friday evening.

LIAMENT
NOTICE is hereby given that an Ap-
plication will be made by the Corpora-
tion of the Town of Wingham to the
Legislature of the .Province or: Ontario
at the next Session thereof for an Act.
(1) To authorize the Council of the
Corporation of the Town of Wingham
to pass By-laws without obtaining the
assent of the Electors for the issue of
debentures for a term not exceeding
thirty years and to bear interest at
such rate as Council may deem expedi-
ent for the following purposes: -(a)
$12,000.00 for the payment of the float-
ing indebtedness of the said Corpora-
tion; (b) $1,200.00 for the settlement of
a damage claim against the said Cor-
poration. (2) And to permit the
said Corporation of the Town of Wing -
ham to invest it's Sinking Funds in any
debentures issued under any By-law
or By-laws that may be passed in
pursuance of this Application.
The existing debenture debt of the
said Town of Wingham is as follows:

by way of a bonus: (b) To settle a
claim against the said Town for dam.
