From the St. Joseph Historical Society
Due to inclement weather, St. Joseph & Area
1listorical Society decided to move the 11 a.m.
Remembrance I)ay Service from St. Joseph Memo-
rial Park to St. Peter's Church hall. They hastily
made calls to the participants and veterans
to advise them of the location change while volun-
teers were sent to the park to redirect the people to
the church hall.
They borrowed from St. Peter's Church their
Remembrance I)ay wreath and their Canadian
flag to create a place of honor at floor level in the
church hall. Mike Miller, president of the
SJA1 IS, welcomed the 71 people in attendance; Fr.
Graham Keep, pastor of St. Peter's Catho-
lic Church, spoke of his years as Chaplain in the
Canadian Armed Forces and members of the I lis-
torlcal Society participated in the Service.
