White Hurricane
It was an emotional joumey for more than 800 people who watched as boats tried and failed to reach their destinations in November 1913. Except for the
Northern Queen, the 17 boats on the Great Lakes during the white hurricane 100 years ago -sank. Hessenland Country Inn, In St. Joseph was the venue and
the St. Joseph Historical Society the hosts for this dramatic dinner theatre presented November 6 -16th.
Second engineer Charles Ryan (Daniel Nogueira) on the
Northern Queen and First Officer Charles Hartman (Jim
Parsons) of the Charles S. Price reflect on the weather and the
upcoming Journey.
Assistant engineer Milton Smith (Lora Lea Paulger) tells captain
William Black (Dave Siebert) the weather reports are not
good. He Ignores her.

The bodies begin to wash up at Port Franks and are taken to the local mortuary.
Local youth Issac Van Aken, Izzy Siebert, Victor Regier, Niki Holland, Abby Parsons, Nigel
Van Aken, Sara Nogueira, Nathan Paulger, Lucan Ducharme, Charlotte Hartman, Tyler
Parsons and Ashley Whekan created the dramatic storm through their creative talents.

TWo crew members must have thanked their lucky stars as
they were too drunk to be allowed passage on one of the boats
that fateful November.
