This is part of the "Caring Through Sharing" program that reaches out to the community, says Peter Challen, Co -Chair of the congrega- tion's Council. 'Ihe congregation co-operated with the Municipality of Lambton Shores to make the parking project happen. 'the Munic- ipality agreed that the residents of the com- munity who needed help would be well served 11 by these donations. Ben Bervoets, whose jew- elry business is across the road, indicated that visitors always express appreciation for the use of their donations. l' Highway 21 at Ausablc Cut Church 519-243-2144 Pastor Doug Watson Sunday, Oct. 20 10:30 a.m. Worship and Sunday School (nursery provided) Kidz Club: Bible stories, songs, fun games and more, SK - Gr 6, 6:45 - 8 p.m., on the second Wednesday of each month Mid -week service Wednesd y 7:00 p.m. 'Ihe parking lot project is part of the congre- gation s revitalized message. liarlier this year the congregation decided to remain in the heart of the business district rather than relo- cate to their property on Ontario Street. "'Ihe commotion Of downtown is exactly the place for this message. It's a message that translates more easily from Sundays to the rest of the week," says Challen. "When life's difficulties arise, the message offers strength that Is more easily recognized, and it's easier to share." Besides the Parking Project another example is the Free Store, 10 am - 4 pin October 19, which is like a garage sale, except everything is free. This was so successful in the spring that it is repeated for fall. Folks who need this assistance are encouraged to come for what- ever might help - small appliances, winter clothes, toys - and it's free.
