Warren, a retired London, Ont. firefighter, spent the last 11 seasons as the London Knights area scout and skills coach, and assisted on the 0111, team's bench in the 2009-10, and 2010- 11 seasons. "Dave brings a wealth of hockey knowledge iliad coach- ing experience to oft rogram," said Roop (:handerdat, owner, president and general manager of the Jr. 11 team. "As an organization we are excited for the season ahead and look to build on the progress we have made over the past couple of seasons." The Predators entered the G0J111, playoffs last season in eighth place and fell to the top- ranked Chatham Maroons in six games. Warren, who's coached nov- ice to Major Junior A hockey teams, said he's looking forward to being a head coach again. This Month In Lambton Todd Case Warden County Of Lambton Warden's Charity Picnic The County of Lambton has raised over $9,500 for St. Josoph's Hospice of Sarnia-Lambton. Funds wore raised by way of raffle, live auctions, and donations at the annual Wardon's Chanty Picnic, hold Thursday, September 19 at Hostage Heights Golf Club in Petrolia. St. Joseph's Hospice has been serving the Lambton County community since its inception in 2005. The hospice provides 24 hour palliative caro to terminally ill people and support programs for those who aro canng for or grieving the loss of a loved one. The 10 suite, home -like residence Is located on Christina Street North in Sarnia. Warden's Citizen of the Month Ray Curran of St. Clair Township has been recognized as the Warden's Citizen of the Month for August 2013 Curran was presented with a plaque for his life-long commitment to his community including roles on the Bluewater Power Board of Directors, the Lambton College Board of Governors, the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as the province -wide Chair of Labour Relations for the Construction Employers Coordinating Council, He has also worked closely with numerous local chantable organizations The volunteers of St. Joseph's Hospice of Sarnia-Lambton receive tho Warden's Citizen of the Month award for September 2013. Volunteers are recognized for their roles in providing support to terminally 11 people and their lav ones. St Joseph's Hospice is supported by over 375 volunteers. Circles® Training 18 months after being designated tho National Training Site for the Canadian Circles* Campaign, Lambton County Circles* staff trained representatives from three Ontano communities on the exiting poverty strategy. 10 staff members from various agunc.ios wore 111 Sarnia September 9-12 to learn from Lambton's experience. Tho training was delivered in classroom during the day and aft silo at each of rho term, Circles® weekly dinners in the evenings. Guests were presented with the opportunity to meet Lambtons Circles® families and their Allies. Included in the training was a Community Action Poverty Simulation. The event simulates real-life poverty experiences designed to help trainees butter understand the complexities and frustrations of those who live in poverty. Safety in Power Outages On the evening of September 11, a late summer storm swept across southern Ontano knocking out oloclncal service to Horny l amblun residents. Water Forum Lambton County residents are invited to attend a public forum regarding water levels on Lako Huron Tuesday, November 5, 2013 The forum will run from 9.00 a.m. - 300 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Point Edward and will include a presentation from the Intonational Joint Commission which will outline its report regarding water levels on Lako Huron.
