Notice of Posting to the Environmental Registry
by Grand Bend Wind Limited Partnership, with Northland Power Inc. as agent
regarding a Proposal to Engage in a Renewable Energy Project
Project Name: Grand Bend Wind Farm (the "Project").
Project Location: North of Grand Bond, in the municipalities of Bluewater and South Huron, Huron County. Portions of the
transmission line also traverse the municipality of Huron East and the municipality of West Perth in Perth
County.
Dated at: West Perth, South Huron, Bluewater and Huron East this 4"' day of September, 2013.
Grand Bend Wind Limited Partnership, by its general partner Grand Bend Wind GP Inc. and with Northland Power Inc. as agent,
are planning to engage in a renewable energy project in which the issuance of a renewable energy approval is required. The
Project is subject to the requirements of the Environmental Protection Act (the "Act") Part V.0.1 and Ontario Regulation 359/09
(the "Regulation"). On February 15th, 2013, an application for renewable energy approval of the Project (the "Proposal") was
submitted to the Ministry of the Environment. The Proposal was posted on the environmental registry referred to in section 5 of
the Environmental Bill of Rights, 1993 on August 28th, 2013. Comments in respect of the Proposal may be submitted to the
Director through the Environmental Registry website at www.ebr.gov.on.ca, or by contacting the Senior Project Evaluator noted
below. The registry number for the Project is 011-9928. The active comment period for the Project on the environmental
registry is 45 days, ending on October 12` , 2013.
Project Description: Pursuant to the Act and Regulation, the facility, in which this Project is to be engaged in, is considered to
be a Class 4 Wind Energy Facility. If approved, this facility would have a total maximum nameplate capacity of 100 MW and
consist of up to 48 wind turbines on privately owned leased lands. The Project also includes step-up transformers, electrical
collection and transmission lines, a parts and storage (office / maintenance) building, a substation, and switchyard to connect to
the Hydro One power line (provincial grid), as well as other ancillary facilities such as temporary construction areas and turbine
access roads with culvert crossings, where required. The Project location is described in the map below.
Documents for Public Inspection: Project documents in support of the Proposal have been issued for public review on the
Project website at http://grandbend.northlandpower.ca. Printed copies are also available for viewing at the following locations:
