Hilarious show at Huron

I le is just a funny guy and playing Archibald F. Inkster is
what Neil Aitchison does best.
On stage at the 1 luron Country Playhouse II until August
31st is the hilarious "Sorry I'm Canadian."
Aitchison and artistic director Alex Mustakas conceived
this production in its sixth run. Previous titles for this produc-
tion -Canadian Looney and Canadian'Iwoonie has proven to
be a sure hit again and again.
As Insker (named for Norman David Inkster, who served as
18th Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police,

Neil Aitchison with K9 Four
from September 1, 1987 to lune 24, 1994. From 1992 until
1994 he also served as President of Interpol), Aitchison
begins in British Columbia and travels cross Canada on a
tour of funny facts and one liners. With the help of Canadian
comedy legend David Bmadfoot, the material is hilarious.
'Ibis is pure entertainment;' admits the star of the show
adding the singers and performers are second to none.
Aitchison, is a former radio broadcaster and a born hani
not to mention a really funny guy. I lis name alone fills seats.
From the Rocky Mountains to the Maritimes, this RCMP
constable points out all our foibles and makes up to date fun
of Canadian politics.

I Wiping to carry the show is the 1(0 Four, a group of incred-
ibly gifted musicians performing from the great Canadian
song book, tunes by Susan Aglukark, Stompin' Tom Connors,
Burton Cummings, Gordon Lightfoot and an exquisite rendi-
tion of Leonard Cohen's I iallelujah.
Aitchison said these guys shine. Also adding colour to an
already brilliant production is the Ballagh Bunch. This is a
family of four champion fiddlers, step dancers ranging in age
from 13 to early 20s.The 'Ieeswater-based family performed
in previous Sorry...I'm Canadian shows, in 2006 and 2008,
and their mom and teacher, Janice, dances the final number
with her brood.
And then there is Aitchison's befuddled nephew Clifford,
played by Frank Parks who loves the stage and the stage loves
him.'lhe decidedly middle-aged guy is particularly hilariou'
when he sings a rap number about Canada, his jeans hangin,
below his underwear, ball cap slightly askew. You are going to
love this show, dubbed as a "good of variety show':
