Right from their national tour, this show is a treat to all audiences and tickets will sell fast. One actor told the Lake- shore Advance he has not experienced the energy of the HCPII opening night atudience in his career. "The leople of Grated Bend and area are awesome," said Eric Scott Anthony after the show. With only one or two Canadian actors in this com- pany, they tour from venue to venue but are having a blast with what Grand Bend has to offer. The plot does not change any matter who is behind the scenes. Young Charles Hardin Holley, known pro- fessionally as Buddy holly, was an American singer - songwriter and a pioneer of rock and roll. He begins his career and with the Crickets they sore to the top of the charts. We all know his demise on February 3, 1959 at the age of 22, with the Big Hopper and Richie Valence. It is the I8 -months he was a star that brings theatregoers time and time again to see his life in lights. Because this show is on tour, the set, props, costumes are also on tour and the IICPII audi- ence has the opportunity to see the whole package. Both Andy Christopher and Kurt Jenkins play Buddy. You as an audience member won't know care which one is centre stage because they are both amazing. His signa- ture black thick glasses and unique style take the audi- ence to a place back to the late 1950s. When one is play- ing Buddy, the other is '1'onlnly Allsup, one of the Crickets. The music, the moves, this is an incredible production. Sam Weber as Joe, Joe Cosmo Cogen is Jerry and they are unforget- table Crickets. Dunkin is a standout as the Big Hopper. 1lis mega -watt charm and enthusiasm easily reaches to the back of the house in "Chantilly Lace," his big number at the final concert.
