Golf tournament to help seniors to live at home

ONE CARE home & Community
Support Services is set to host its annual
fundraising Golf Tournament on Satur-
day, August 10th at Woodlands, Links,
Clinton starting at 10 a.m.
The tournament includes 18 holes or
9 holes of golf, and the fee includes a
cart, a full steak dinner, and excellent
prizes for everyone.
"Businesses and individuals have been
so generous in supporting this event. We
have great prizes to give away and this is a
great tournament which supports such
important work," notes Shelley McPhee -
I iaist, of ONE CARE.
This tournament is a major fundraiser
for ONE CARE and all proceeds go
directly back to help senior citizens, disa-
bled adults and children with services to
help thein live independently. ONE CARE
assisted more than 4,700 people in Huron
and Perth Counties last year. ONE CARE
is a charitable, non -for-profit agency pro-
viding services to families in the area. Last
year, for instance, the agency delivered
46,000 Meals on Wheels, provided more
than 70,000 rides for people who needed
transportation and served more than

British soccer camp
Grand Bend & District Soccer Association was again hosts to
the British soccer camp again July 8th -12th. This camp is open
to all players not just Grand Bend.
British Soccer Camps provide young players with the rare
opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a
team of international experts right in the heart of their own
community. Each British Soccer Camp provides players of
all ages and abilities the appropriate program and level of
curriculum and a wonderful cultural and educational camp
experience!
Each day Includes Individual foot skills, technical drills,
tactical practices, small -sided games, coached scrimmages,
and a daily World Cup Tournament. Equally important, the
Challenger coaching staff provides your child with lessons in
self-discipline, good sportsmanship and respect for others and
for the game. Campers enjoyed a daily program of Camp break
activities and an end of camp graduation party!
