Think Exeter, and you think bustling
service town in the middle of South-
western Ontario's farm belt.
Think again — like a 25 -piece orchestra
and 100 -member choir performing Bach's
famous oratorio St. John Passion in the
showroom of Huron Tractor. Or, Local res-
taurants serving up 'Bach-alicious' menus
and brown -bag lunches for music lovers.
The seven-day festival, which features
works of the great German composer
Johann Sebastian Bach and others, opens
Sunday with a concert by Canada's Juno -

renowned percussionist Beverley John-
ston at Trivia Memorial Anglican Church.
There are concerts nightly at the church
except for the closing show Saturday, the
Bach performance at I luron Tractor.
"Bach, in many ways, was innovative
and pushed the boundaries and in some
way that's what we're trying to do here,"
said executive producer Louise Fagan
