Spamalot, now on stage at the Huron Country Playhouse is hilarious from beginning to end. The costumes and set come right from Broadway and really if you are not a Monty Python fan- or a fan of King Arthur -it doesn't natter because this production is just hilarious. The rip-off of the movie Monty Python and the Holy (rail -- pre- sented by Drayton Entertainment, directed by Alex Mustakas with chore- gag raphy by Lisa Stevens and musical rection by Steve Thomas — stars Vic- tor Young in the role of King Arthur. And Mustakas must take credit for this production, the perfect cast and crea- tive team to lighting to costume changes- this is the most perfect production. Kristen Peace plays The Lady of the Lake, her powerful vocals, campy style and tawdry diva delivers breaks from the madness and hilarity that is any- thing Monty Python. Local to (.rand Bend 'Thomas Alder- son, who plays Prince Herbert, Ilisto- rian, Dead Man, Flying Nun, French Guard, Bead Minstrel and' the Rabbit, gives a memorable performance for a Drayton production, And then there are Nick Settimi, as Patsy- the horse and Eddie Glenn as Sir Robin, the Finnish Mayor, the (uard and Brother Maynard, and the French Taunter. How these two per- formers get through their lines is a mystery to the theatergoer—but the spoofs just continue by the moment. One theatergoer says, "Here's the good news: the irreverence is based on equality: the ridicule reaches out to all people and institutions on an equal basis, so no one can take particular offence. The serious and most discerning lover of musical theatre, or the lover of a good comedy should not miss this production of Spamalot. If you're a Monty Python fan, this will be a delight.
