NOTICE
FRAUDULENT WATER TESTING
It has been reported that a private company (Simple H2O and their distributor PSC) has been
going door-to-door in our community requesting to sample customers' tap water. It has also been
reported that this company has been misrepresenting themselves as municipal employees; or
implying that they are in some way affiliated with the Municipality.
Ibis company (Simple H2O and their distributor PSC) is NOT in any way affiliated with the
Municipality of South Huron. The Munidpaiity does not do door-to-door water sampling and does
not sell home water purification systems. Municipal employees also have photo identification cards
to confirm their identity.
We want to assure our customers that the tap water in our community is completely safe, in full
regulatory compliance and requires no additional home purification. Municipal drinking water is
rigorously tested and a highly regulated industry. The Ministry of the Environment Annual Report
for the South Huron drinking water system is available on the Municipal Website, at the municipal
office In Exeter and at the Exeter Public library.
If any customer has questions or concerns in this regarding your municipal drinking water, please
do not hesitate to contact the Municipality of South Huron, Environmental Services Department at
519-235-0310.
If you have any concerns regarding aggressive door-to-door sales, please contact the Ministry of
Consumer Services at 1-800-889-9768 or the local detachment of the DPP at 1-::: -310-1122.
