10 Lakeshore Advance • Wednesday, June, 26, 2013 12 year investigation leads to charges for Huron East man 'l'he Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has a male in custody fol- lowing years of investigation into theft of clothing. The investiga- tion covered nearly a 12 year span starting with the initial break and enter reported to I Intron County OPP in September of 2001. Over the course of the next three years seven similar break and enters were reported to Huron OPP. In January of 2013 another similar break and enter was reported. 'Ihe break and enters occurred within the municipalities of Mor- ris-Turnberry and Huron East. In each case the victim reported women's undergarments were stolen. A comprehensive review of the cases combined with further investigation ultimately led to the arrest of the accused on June 17, 2013. As a result, a 36 year old man from Huron East has been charged with five counts of Break, Enter and Theft Under $5,000 contrary to section 348 (1)(b) Criminal Code, Break and Enter with Intent contrary to section 348 (1)(a) Criminal Code and two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 contrary to section 354 (1)(a) Criminal Code. Ile remains in custody. Huron OPP would like to speak with persons in the area that may have had similar articles of cloth- ing stolen. FAIL TO STOP FOR POLICE Failing to pull over when sig- nalled by police has led to a crim- inal charge against a 22 year old male driver from Bluewater. Shortly after midnight on June 14, 2013 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers observed a black Volkswagen Jetta travelling westbound on Walnut Road at a high rate of speed. The driver continued driving errati- cally westbound on Walnut Road for approximately 1 kilometre before he pulled into a driveway on Bells Line. During the short chase he failed to stop for a stop sign. Officers were able to stop the driver on Bells Line where they arrested the driver for Fail to Stop for Police. As a result, the 22 year old man from Blue - water has been charged with Flight from Police and Disobey Stop Sign - Fail to Stop. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice - Exeter on July 18. Blessings has been part of Zurich's community for 27 years and Nora Grainger (who could not attend Saturday's event) has been the manager for 13 years. Wall told the forum this agency helps 50-55 families per month and do a remarkable job and he says the CHC is proud to help out. "Your help helps us to help others," he told Bonesteel.
