Blucwatcr system must refrain from watering their lawns or

on the following dates -Odd numbered houses on odd

Grand Bend Buskerfest is an exciting
new event for (rand Bend. Supported
by the Lanlbton Creative County Fund,
the event takes place on June 22nd and
23rd. Buskers are artists who perform
on the street for donations and there
will be plenty of them performing
thougliout the weekend. The line up
for (rand Bend's Buskerfest includes a
variety of musicians, many from the
local area. "Grand I1('i1(1 has mote than
its share of great musicians a11(I \ve
wanted to make sure they had the
uppurtur1ity to come and perform for
their families, friends and the many
visitors that collie to Grand Bend on a
summer \vet'kend" says co-organizer
(;len Baillie. 'Ihe Shrieking Twigs is a
local Celtic/Folk group from in and
around 1 luron County. The group is
comprised of S.11.1),I1.S students and
alumni consisting of Aaron Neel) on
guitar/tike/mandolin/vocals, Clara
Stegall on percussion/guitar/vocals
and Jamie McLellan on flute/whistle.
On occasion, the Twigs also feature Joe
and 1)an l'avkeje 011 percussion. The
group mainly plays traditional Irish/
Scottish folk and dance tunes. The mis-
sion of the group is to explore and con-
tinue Irish/Scottish traditional music
culture. Zurich based Chris Zybura will
be playing throughout the weekend,
and you may not hear the same song
twice. Various 01enlbers of Amity
Beach, a local band who has gained
quite a fan following, will be busking
thoughout the weekend. Jordan
Grainger another relative youngster
will be playing in all five locations
throughout the weekend. 'Ihe Seaforth
larnlony Kings are among a group of
men who harmonize barbershop quar-
tet style. Locals flank Winters and John
Gill perform with this group that • •'I1
be part of the Buskerfest fun. I,
Quintana is an accomplished piatttst
and piano teacher. Ile will be perform-
ing along with his sister, Olga Quintana
Travers() who recently arrived in Grand
Bend from Cuba. Olga is 0 master class
cellist. Not all the local talent are musi-
cians. Emily Mussio, Callum Sather
land -Billings and Alexis McCreath
Frangakis are young athletes who will
be demonstrating the karate moves
that got them nominated for the
National Karate Teals. Others sur-
prises are the aerialist performances at
the beach house accompanied by Greg
(iallt'IIo.
Buskers will be performing at five
locations: at the beach house, the
beach gazebo by the pier, the Grand
Ben(I Art Centre, and 00 Main Street
beside Sea Jeweils and on the Fiber
Street parking lot.
The event is rain or shine, with the
stages being moved to sheltered
locations.
