NOTICE OF CHANGE TO A PROPOSAL
FOR A RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT
Project Name and OPA Number: Bluewater Wind Energy Centre, F -002171 -WIN -130-601
Dated at Municipalities of Bluewater and Huron East, Huron County this March 20, 2013
Project Location: The proposed Project is located in Huron County, within the Municipalities of Bluewater and Huron East, as shown in Figure 1 below.
Varna Wind, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy Canada, ULC, is planning to engage in a renewable energy project which requires the Issuance of a renewable energy
approval. The proposal to engage in the project and the project itself is subject to the provisions of the Environmental Protection Act (ACT) Part V.0.1 and Ontario Regulation 359/09
(Regulation). The Renewable Energy Approval Application for this Project was submitted to the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) on June 26, 2012. The MOE screened the submis-
sion according to the requirements set out in Regulation and the application was deemed complete on August 31, 2012.
This notice is being distributed at the request of the MOE to advise of recent modifications proposed to the Project design. The following list highlights the proposed modifications and
the associated figure (Figure 1) depicts the corresponding locations.
1. Removal of Turbine 20
2. Addition of a meteorological tower
3. Relocation of access roads and collection
lines in several locations
4. Relocation of transmission line from
municipal right-of-way to private property in
several locations
5. Relocation of point of interconnect from the
Seaforth Substation property to private
property
6. Relocation of project transformer substation
within same property
7. Addition of crane path during construction
