Gresham Bayley
Bayley brothers aim to amaze
Local (iuo aim
to be Contestants
on Mlle Amazing Race
Canada
Lynda Hillman -Replay
Lakeshore Advance
And what scares the Bayley
brothers the most about the
prospect of being chosen for
Amazing Race Canada? "Killing
each other on national
television.'
Nick and Gresham said their
long time family friend and
father's co-worker Pana Ross is a
huge fan of the Amazing Race
and hounded them to do an
audition soon after the
announcement. "SO, this is basi-
cally to quiet her down," they
said.
%Vhen asked why they should
he selected, Nic said" Definitely
not for outlooks. Hopefully we
are moving fast enough, they
can't see ugly on Gresham."
They certainly think they have
what it takes and their 1'ou'1'uhe
audition has gone viral on
Facebook.
And are they AR fans? Nic has
seen a few episodes but "Gree -
sham is clueless, say his funny
brother. "1 just asked Gresham
if he had seen it and he thinks
it's a pie eating contest."
Both Bayleys work at Ice
Culture.
Nic says the family always
thought we would be on a real-
ity TV show. "I lowever 1 think
they thought it was going to be
Cops;'
So, the first step was to pre-
pare a video that focused on the
positives and negatives of the
relationship between the team-
mates, "The audition tape was
just us goofing around. 1t was
hard to cut it down to only three
minutes," said the brothers. The
producers were eager to hear
what mike a "pairing" tick.
Watching the You'1'ube video of
the Bayley Brothers was, if you
diel not know these two, a cou-
ple minutes of hilarity. You can
check out their audition tape by
going to Amazing Race Canada
Bayley Bro's-You'I'ube.
The race will take place
right here within the borders of
Canada. 'There will be potential
stops in all 10 provinces acid
three territories, criss-crossing
up to 9,000 kilometres. Specific
destinations won't be revealed
until the broadcast.
Tilt. Amazing Race Canada
will provide 0 complementary
take on the original series, with
competitors discovering the
world within the borders ofCan-
ada. (;'1'V broadcasts two cycles
of Amazing Race Canada each
year: Amazing Race Canada will
he different in that it will explore
the divergent topography and
disparate locales that Canada
already provides, from Vancou-
ver Island's tropical rainforest,
Alberta's parched Badlands, the
peaks of the Rockies, and the
barren tundra of the Great White
North, to the Boreal forests of
Ontario and Quebec, the sea-
faring ports of the Maritimes,
the fiords of Newfoundland, and
the teeming metropolises and
undiscovered towns in between.
The show is set to premiere 00
CTV this summer.
As for Ross, she is pretty
pumped about their audition.
She says, "'these two boys are
very well traveled, polite, kind
and hilarious! 1 think they would
he perfect on the show. 'through
all the years (shuck and I have
watched Amazing Race we have
said that these two should audi-
tion.' Nic says they should knot
if they made the cut in the next
month.
