Gotten of the Exeter Lions Club
introduced the guest speaker, Zone
Chair Lion P*U1 Anatett, who spoke
on the importance of believing - in
yourself, the community, seniors,
community events and fellow Lions.

50/50 tickets are available from
Lion members at a cost of $5 with the
draw being held Dec. 18. All pro-
ceeds go towards upgrades at the
Hay Township hall.
There will be a community Christ-
mas dinner at the Bluewater Com-
plex Thurs., Dec. 8 beginning at 6
p.m. which is for those who are alone
or have no family close by. This
annual event is free and is being
hosted by members of the Zurich
Mennonite Church. Those wanting
to go are asked to contact Norma or
Atte at Blessings Store at 519-236-
4376.
The ladies auxiliary meeting was
held at the rest home Nov 1 which
began with a musical program by
Tom and Rose Merrigan from
Hensall.
Carmel read the minutes from the
last meeting in August and thanked
those for helping at the Bean Festival
booth. Hilda gave the treasurer's
report and Marlette Gingerich gave
an update on the tuck cart for which
more volunteers are needed.
Plans are being made for the resi-
dents family Christmas dinner at the
home Sun., Nov. 20 with entertain-
ment starting at 3 p.m. in the front

be eld in the chapel at 7 ..m. Any-
one wanting to purchase a t for a
deceased family member or friend

St. Peter's Lutheran Church Ladies
held their meeting in the fellowship
hall on Thurs., Nov. 3 with pres.
Michele Haberer.
The Grand Bend senior band will
be coming to entertain the residents
at the rest home in Zurich Fri., Nov
11. Remembrance Day ceremonies
will be held at 2:30 p.m. and visitors
are welcome.
Don't forget to go to the penny sale
at St. Penes Church hall at St. Joseph
on Sun., Nov. 13 following 10:30 a.m.
Mass.
Golden'Agers held their euchre
party last month at Ma lewoods.

Jerome, Carmel and Heather were
among those who enjoyed going to
see the silent movie with live organ
music played by fan Sadler for the
"Hunchback of Notre Dame" held at
the Trlvltt Memorial Anglican
Church in Exeter Oct. 28. The com-
mitted in charge was stressed in Hal-
loween costumes for the occasion.
There was also a penny sale with
draws following the movie.
