When the phone rings and Linda
answers, "Good morning! Padding-
tons- The Place to lie" she means it and
with her partners Paul 'Filson and Billy
Earle they do everything in their power
to make your dining and entertainment
experience the hest that it can he.
When Jen Gaukroger decided to
move on- this group decided they
wanted to jump on the bandwagon and
run the operation themselves. Linda
had already been bartending and they
knew as a team they could stake that
happen.
With the help of bar manager Lee
Marcoux and chef Dean Williams and
their loyal long-time staff Gord'l'ozier,
Pam Siddel, Kim Auger, Kelly Jackson,
and Jeff Kennedy they really do make
this place inviting. At Paddingtons you
are a stranger only once.
With a new menu out this week Linda
says it is important to their crew that
they are individual. She said there are
so ninny great establishments with their
own signature menu items- there is
something for everyone In the commu-
nity. Paddingtons is an English Pub and
that is the fare they are known for. Their
authentic cuisine includes traditional
lamb dinner on Sunday, bangers and
Harsh, their own steak and Guinness pie
and there is always Guinness on tap.
You can always find traditional pub
food- something for everyone. 'The food
is made fresh on the premises with a
kitchen that is open to 10 p.m. seven
days a week. Chef Dean came to Grand
Mend with his wife Laura a few years
and worked at Sunset !louse on the

and means it. Ile graduated from Hum-
ber College and has 24 -years experience
in the business.
Marcoux came from the Cayman
Island with his wife Karen and daughter
Jasmin and has decades of restaurant

to do at the pub whether it is
shuffleboard, on-line trivia or
just watching the game. Your
dining experience can he met
sitting at the bar or taking
one atilt. many tables. 'There
is privacy at the window
booths, a section of the Pub
that screams cozy and
relaxing.
Paddingtons is open Mon-
day to Friday at noon and
there is tots of parking at the
hack. They have heated
patios and lots of specials.
And while you are at the
Pub ask about the adventures
of Paddington, who will leave
this week for Cuba. The res-
taurant has two stuffed bears
that just happen to be tag-
alongs when customers take
trips. Not only does he conte
hack with vacation photos
hitt there are also souvenir
phis of his favourite jaunts in
his infamous suitcase. Now
that's fun!
