Shuffleboard at the Zurich complex will be held on Mon.,
Sept. 26 at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome to conte out.

at the annual Alzheimer's cloffee Break held at the Blue Water
Rest home on Sept. 14. Lovely keyboard music was enjoyed by
Pearl- Ann Martin with speaker Kelly Webster.
A women's breakfast was held at the Mennonite church hall
on Sat., Sept. 17 with a good attendance. Special speaker for the
occasion was Lynette Roes. This was also the installation oldie
new executive for their women's church group.
If anyone wants to join the Bluewater Skating Club and
missed going to the arena for registration, they can call pres.
Dana Bozzato in Dashwood at 237-3857 for more information.
Any children wanting to go to Ventures, Scouts, Cubs or Bea-
vers call Sheila !Mange at 237-3870.
Ladies are still being invited to come out to bowling on Mon-
day nights from 7-9 p.m. at the Town and Country Lanes in
Zurich. No matter Where you live, new girls to the area are espe-
cially welcome to conte out to make new friends and have fun

Zurich sent a 23 -member team to Chatham -Kent which
hosted the 2011 Regional Senior Games. Cord and Ceciia Smith
each won a gold metal for predictive walking. Bill Coleman won
a silver in his walking. Charlotte and 1 Iarvey Norton won a gold
and silver metal in cycling.
A progressive euchre will be held at Mapiewoods on Mon.,
Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. All are welcome!
St. Boniface Knights of Columbus card party is on Mies., Sept.
27 in the parish hall at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
The Quilters Guild held its first meeting for the fall on Mon.,
Sept. 19 at the Lutheran church hall. The group will be working
on 0 quilt to raffle with proceeds going to the Goderich'Iornado
relief.

Congratulations to Karen and I)on Rader of Exeter; who cel-
ebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 16.
Several Sweeney family and relatives from the area attended
a 90th birthday dinner party in Windsor on Sun., Sept. 18 in
honour of my mother Jeanne Bedard.
Carmel Sweeney had a great week's vacation to Calgary from
Sept. 6 to 13. Flying from London to Winnipeg to Calgary. t )n
the same plane was lack and Theresa Byrne of R.R. 2 Zurich
who were on their way to Winnipeg to visit a brother and sister
who couldn't attend their 61st wedding anniversary.
Once Carmel arrived, her sister'lheresa Strickland and het
son met her at the airport and the three of them enjoyed goir

Calgary Zoo, Spruce Meadow International Masters (Horse
lumping Competition) and several museums. Carmel was also
happy to see Mike and Sharon Boyle of Calgary and former
Zurich friends Jody and Wayne Schilbe, who took Carmel to see
the Rocky Mountains and Banff. The Weather Was 1101 and
sunny so they did many outdoor activities.
Congratulations to Kevin Regier and Amy McCabe who were
married on Sat., Sept. 17111Goderich at Knox Presbyterian with
dinner and reception at the K of C Hall. Kevin is the son of
Tracey and David Regier of R.R.#2 Zurich. 'lite couple are living
in Goderich.
May we offer our sincere sympathy to the family and relatives
of the late John Groot Sr. who died on Sept. 11. Especially to his
wife, Bridget.
The family of Lottie Grenier held their pre -Christmas get-
together on Sun., Sept. 10 at Homestead Park in the clubhouse
with relatives coming from various places.
