One reason for the popular-
ity of Autumn Indulgence is
that it showcases and cele-
brates local art. Grand Bend is
home to many gifted and
acclaimed artists, who sup-
port the community in many
ways.
Teresa Marie has been a big
supporter of Autumn Indul-
gence, which takes place on
Saturday, September 17, at
the Huron Country Play-
house. Over the years she has
contributed many creative
and exquisite works of art to
the live auction.
This year Marie has donated
another unique offering, a
portrait starring you as the
Mona Lisa. Leonardo Da Vin-
ci's creation is perhaps the
most recognized portrait of all
time. Marie has brilliantly
reproduced the Mona Lisa so
that it's almost indistinguish-
able from the original except
for one thing. The face is miss-

this would be a really fun
thing to do, a conversation
piece, something that people
will really get a kick out of:' At
the same time, the completed
portrait will be a beautiful and
subtle piece of art that any art
lover would be proud to own.
The live auction also fea-
tures "Mother and Child, a
sculpture by talented artist
Frank Moore, "This figure was
inspired by mothers every-
where," says Moore. The
sculpture is four feet high, and
carved from Eramosa lime-
stone from the Marton
region. This type of limestone
is a favourite with Moore
because of its durability and
beauty. 1t has a grainy look -
almost like wood.
Moore, who is well known
for his sculpture of Brother
Andre in St. Joseph, has
