Inc. (PLIC) has launched RAIN (Relief for Afri-
cans In Need), a campaign designed to raise
awareness and funds for those affected by the
famine in Africa.
With the support of I INl(:1?I Canada, PI:1(:'s
five retirement living and lung; tern) cure homes
will host various community level campaigns
culminating in a larger corporate event in
loronto on September 14, 2011.
"We would like to commend all of our retire-
ment living and long term cares homes, as well
as their residents, volunteers and families for
supporting us in our fundraising efforts," said
Christine Oximek, (thief Operating Officer at
MIC "Collectively, we aim to raise $50,11110.'1his
money will he matched by the Government of
Canada's relief fund, which is added incentive to
raise as many dollars as possible:'

efforts.
During the month long campaign Queensway
took port in IBIIQ's, Imlffin and coffee breaks and
very successful 5(1/5(1 draws. As a result of their
efforts Queensway raised $H00, with more funds
expected in the coming days. "Queensway
should be very proud of their efforts," said Mike
Dickin, Director of Operations at P13(:. "With
the kindness of the staff, residents and local
community we were be able to collect donations
for this much needed cause while taking part in
many successful community events."
(1NL(:I:F is also playing an important role in
helping PITC to raise funds and ensuring that
those dollars are delivered to those who need it
most. "We are very pleased to be working with
such a well-respected organization," remarked
Ozimek.
"UNICEF Canada sincerely thanks P1.1'(: for
its ongoing efforts to raise funds through their
