Lakeshore Advance
Last week Lambton-Kent-Middlesex PC
Candidate, Monte McNaughton visited
Grand Bend, to talk about the
commitment to provide relief by un
Dalton McGulnty's smart meter tax
and offering families a choice of mandatory
time -of -using pricing.
NI have been canvassing door-qs-door for
several weeks and 1 hear each dug that fami-
lies across Lambton-Kent-Middlesex are
finding it harder and harder to make ends
meet," said McNaughton, "Tim Hudak and
Monte McNaughton will unplug Dalton
McGuinty's mandatory smart meter tax
machines and give your family relief"
The smart meters slapped on Ontario homes
- at a coat of more than $1 billion - have
become nothing but government sponsored

tax machines, driving up hydro rates for
affected families by a whopping 150 percent.
Worse still, mandatory smart meters have
forced families to be showered and ready for
school and work before 7 am, and seniors to do
laundry late into the night.
While Dalton McGuinty dictates how fami-
lies should run their homes, a Tim Hudak gov-
ernment will unplug the mandatory smart
meter tax machines, and let families decide
whether the time -of -use pridng system is rift
for them. A Tim Hudak government will also
remove the HST and debt retirement charge
from home hydro bills, to give families the
relief they need.
Qukke
The Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters
estimates the average Ontario Family's hydro
bin willincrease by a staggering $732 per year
by 2015,
Under Dalton McGuinty, hydro rates have
gone up 84 percent and 150 percent for homes
with a smart meter.
As outlined in changebook, a Tim Hudak
government will provide relief to families by
unplugging Dalton McGuinty's mandatory°
smart meter tax machines and letting them run
their households the way they see fit, This Is on
top of Tim Hudak's changebook commitment
to remove the HST from hydro bills and to
remove the debt retirement charge from hydro
bills.
