All ages music event at Grand Bend Legion Friday

Lakeshore Advance
An all -ages music festival will take over
the stage at the Grand Bend Legion on
Friday. Amity Beach will headline a show
featuring Three Forks, The Phusion, and Kill
the Radio. Doors open at 6:30.
The unique selling point to this event is
the local talent within the high school aged
sector. Many of these students have been
taught music under the direction of Matt
Weston and Issac Moore.
Jeff Baillie says it is difficult for any of the
band members to get Jobs because they are

Amity Beach are in the process of
releasing their EP that is being
recorded at Swamp Songs Studio ir' -
Lucan.
Andrew Gill says this group has -
learned a lot since they began a few
years ago and time management is at
the top of that list. "We have grown
up - doing a lot of the work needed
ourselves" Both hand members say
although they have huge parental
support, "mom and dad are not hold-
ing their hands'; when it conies to
band responsibilities.
The event on the lath will be fun
for the entire family with some blue's
rock, some rap, jazz funk and alter-
native -garage -- Indic'.
Bailie said the band students from
South Huron had the opportunity to
visit Memphis this year and they
learned a lot and were totally
inspired by the entire experience. l le
says the music programs at the
schools and of course their instruc-
tors go above and beyond to help the

be.
