Appropriately, the sun shone as it always does on the Saturday of T lbwn's Civic Holiday weekend festivities. One hundred and twenty-five ranging from ancient to modern also cruised - some of them nois- ily - along Main Street and a majority of them stayed for the vintage vehicle show. Limbo An impromptu limbo dance broke out when the O'Hagan Family's award-winning'O'Tiki' float stopped mid -way through the Thedford Funion Days parade on Civic Holiday Weekend. Terry O'Hagan set up the sticks and invited young onlookers to take the challenge. Judges awarded the O'Hagans first prize for best capturing the parade theme — Caribbean Party. Playing at the seashore The folks at Execulink Telecom were ready to play at the seashore. Their vessel sailed away with top prize for decorated commercial floats. Zavitz General Store 3, Jared GWard After the patgdee 1Q5,'krtge cars and, • trucks were registered for a spectacular show on the former railway land alor Main Street in the downtown area. The show's trophy was presented to 'Ihedford residents Dean and Jan'ihomp- son for their fleet of 1955, 1956 and 1961 'thunderbirds. Thedford's Kevin and Dar- lene Rumford claimed second prize for their 1967 Firebird, 1967 Camaro and 1976 Corvette. "All cars were winners," show organizer Mary l.ou Glenn told'1he Advance. And all participants drove away with prizes. Thedford firefighters served roast beef dinners to nearly 400 people
