She is beautiful and charming;
and she can dance- boy she can
dance. Jordan Clark has made it to
the top 22 in So You 'Think You can
Dance Canada and she is shocked.
But her grandparents, Betty and Ed
Nuttall are not.
The Nuttalls, who live south of
St. Josephs are bursting at the seams
with pride. "Oh my goodness," says
Betty of her 19 year old granddaugh-
ter, "All she has ever wanted to do is
dance."
Clark, daughter of Glen and Con-
nie was born in Etobiccoke and lives
in Tottenham. She has two sisters
and a brother and in her early years
thought she would like to be a
gymnast. That idea changed to dance
and it seems to be working.
Clark made the first cut during the
popular show's cross country
auditions that included stops in
Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto,
Montreal, and St. John, NB. She is one
of the 11 females, and 11 males who
took to the stage July 11th.
The show's website says voting began
last Monday as viewer votes determine
the bottom three couples, with the
judges selecting who goes home. "Once
the show reaches the Top 10, viewer
votes determine the fate of the finalists.
Voting occurs following the conclusion
of the performance shows,

Each week Clark will be paired with one
of the other finalists to perform a
professionally choreographed dance routine.
After the show, people call in to vote for their
favourite dancer. In order for (:lark to keep
dancing in the competition, she'll need her
grandparents hometown support.
And vote the Nuttalis are doing, pressing rediul
again and again. And their friends and neighbours
are not exempt from this new ritual- everyone has
to vote, says Betty.
Betty says she'd really love it if everyone can
support Jordan by calling or texting to vote. One
friend, Sharon Crump says she is so happy for her
friend Betty. She says this local woman has been
an avid volunteer in the area, and is proud to
support her granddaughter.
(;lark has also been part of the local scene,
helping out grandma Betty in the I luron Country
Playhouse gift shop and has done other local
theatre duties. She was going to audition for one
of the shows but ended up being cast in a movie.
As well as dance, (:lark also trained in voice and
acting.
For this young woman, making So You 'Think
You Can Dance Canada's top 22 is a dream come
true. "She was so shocked," said Nuttall, stating
her granddaughter credits the support of others

She acknowledges Vlad Novitski for shaping
her dance career thus far, She trained at Vlad's
Dance Company for the last six years, where she
became skilled in tap, ballet, laza, lyrical, hip-hop
and acrobatics, Iler younger sister Madison also
trains with Novitski.
Grandma Betty says this has not come easy for
Jordan who has to train hard in different dance
styles and has to stay focused. She says she knows
her granddaughter is busy and she tries not to
send too many instant messages, but it is hard not
to -she is that excited and proud of her
accomplishments. "It is all just so overwhelming,"
says Nuttall,
"It's the craziest thing you'll ever go through,
but it's amazing and it's emotional," she told
