Hit & run in Grand Bend
For the Lakeshore Advance
The Lambton County Ontario Pro-
vincial Police (OPP) is seeking wit-
nesses to a hit-and-run accident that
occurred on July 1, at the Sobeys
parking lot in Grand Bend.
The OPP reports that at around
9 p.m., a 23 -year-old male was
walking through the parking lot
when he was struck from behind
by a vehicle. The male was treated
and released at London Health
Sciences - Victoria Hospital for
non life-threatening
injuries. Police are looking for a
red car that may have damage to
the front end. Anyone with infor-
mation is urged to contact the
Lambton County OPP.
Busy Canada Day
Lambton County OPP were kept
hopping during the long weekend
responding to more than 380 calls
for service.
Officers responded to around
160 incidents in the Grand Bend
area, most of which were minor in
nature and involved noise

Lambton County Ontario Provin-

ticipating in week two of the provin-
cial Countering Distracted Driving
initiative July 11-17.
Studies prove that distracted driv-
ing is a major cause of crashes in
Ontario, and drivers need to take
responsibility and devote full atten-

Impaired Driver
A 41 -year-old Kettle Point man

Ipperwash. After speaking with
the driver, it was determined that
