to the oil fields of Enniskillen,
from the cottages of Stag Island
to the farms of Warwick'ibwn-
ship. 'Ihe exhibit is open now,
until October 2011.
Beginning in lune, residents
in all eleven municipalities
within Lambton will he per-
mitted free admission to the
museum on the following
specified weekends:
June 18 & 19-Lambton
Shores, Plympton-Wyoming'
July 16 & 17-Petrolia, Enni-
skillen and Oil Springs'
July 23 & 24 -Sarnia, Point
Edward and St.Clair'
Aug 20 & 21 -Warwick,
Brooke-Alvinston, and I)awn-
Euphetllia'
'Proof of residency must be
provided upon entry.
'Innis is also the first year with
the museum's new Curator,
lalurie Webb.
Webb accepted the posi-
tion of Supervisor -Curator of
Lambton County's two muse-
ums and archives in October
of 2010 and is eager to meet
the residents of the County
and to give them a place to
tell their storks. On the des-
ignated free admission week-
ends, Webb will be available

noon until 4 pm on each Sun-
day afternoon,
Since opening in 1978, the
Lambton heritage Museum
has become home to 11
remarkable collection of
interesting and distinctive
one -of -a kind items of local
significance, each of which
helps the museum to tell the
captivating human and natu-
ral history of Sarnia -Lamb -
ton. Webb often reminds
people about the importance
Of our local stories and arti-
facts, and the museum i5
always willing and interested
in hearing about these sto-

The Lambton heritage
Museum is open seven days a
week; Monday through Friday
from 10 a.111. until 5 p.n1., week-
ends and holidays from 11 a.m.
to 5 p.111 until October 31st, and
weekdays during November
and December. Admission is
$5. adults, $4. seniors/students,
$3. children, $15. family. The
museum is 8 knl south of
Grand Bend, on Highway 21.
Just a few of the interesting
items within the collection
include: the only remaining
horse-drawn ambulance in
Ontario, the largest collection
of pressed glass water pitchers
in Canada, a church originally
built in 1867, a fascinating
assortment of locally manufac-
tured agricultural implements,
rare steam engines originally
made in lalnlhton County and
historical photographs that
depict and recall the changing
face of Sarnia-l.iltllbtOrl'S
homes and communities.
