Honouring Dave
Long time Grand Bend resident, husband, dad, grandfather and friend, Dave McLeod
was honoured posthumously with gratitude from the Grand Bend nursery school.
McLeod organized the golf toumament at Bayview Golf Club, that is now in its fourth
year and has raised $33,000 to allow for the $10,000 a year needed to keep the school
open. This year's tournament Is today, April 27th. Some of the parents, students and
teacher Jean Irvin presented the plaque to McLeod's family; daughter Carrie (also a
teacher of this school), wife Dorinda and son -In-law Dave. Shown here Jody Shaw
does the presentation.
The plaque says: The Grand Bend Nursery School would like to thank Dave McLeod for
keeping the facility running for the past three years. Without his support in running a
very successful got tournament each year the Nursery School would not have been
operatational. The parents, teachers and students are grateful for his dedication to his
community and he will be greatly missed. Dave McLeod died in 2010,
