Waypoint Financial Group Inc thanks fire department
We want to take this opportunity to publicly
thank the members of the Grand Bend Volun-
teer Fire Departtnent. 'This past Tuesday morn-
ing they were aroused from their beds at 3:00
am to attend a fire at the Waypoint Financial
Group office on Ontario Street. Not only was the
fire quickly extinguished, but they went above
and beyond their duty and brought in tarps and
fans to minimize the smoke and water damage
to the furnishings and possessions in our office.
We are happy to say that the damage could have
been hutch, much worse had they not arrived so
quickly and had they not taken the extra time
and trouble to protect our property. When the
insurance adjuster arrived later that day he was
amazed at the minimal damage coincident with
extinguishing the blaze and he expressed to us
the fact that their prompt and efficient efforts
would result in a significant reduction in the
cost of the overall insurance claim. According to
the adjuster, this is usually not the case in larger
centres with full time fire departments.
Once again, a very sincere thank you for a Job
well done! A well organized, efficient and caring
group of volunteers is just one more benefit of
living in a small town.
Irene & Brian Hall and all of the staff of
Waypoint Financial Group Inc.

'Ibis week in the news: the high school course
selections were due on Tuesday February 1st. 'This Is
a big step for our students graduating. We are going
from our little 'quiet' school to the big 'scary' high
school. Just kidding, we are going to have lots of fun.
If we do not get our course selection sheets In before
the due date then we don't get to attend the South
Huron District High School. Haha, Just trying to have
some fun with you...our selection sheet just moves
down to the bottom of Mrs. Foran's
big pile and you may get last choice in the classes
you want to take. Wealso have another P.A. Day on
Wednesday, February 2 so, if you plan on playing
outside you might want to bundle up warm. Oh boy,
it's going to be chilly, around -5C! WOW! Last week,
we had our responsibility Terrific Kids assembly and
boy, oh boy we have sorne very responsible students.
Congratulations to all of our winners. Task to you
next week.
