'This past Tuesday morn- ing they were aroused from their beds at 3:00 am to attend a fire at the Waypoint Financial Group office on Ontario Street. Not only was the fire quickly extinguished, but they went above and beyond their duty and brought in tarps and fans to minimize the smoke and water damage to the furnishings and possessions in our office. We are happy to say that the damage could have been hutch, much worse had they not arrived so quickly and had they not taken the extra time and trouble to protect our property. When the insurance adjuster arrived later that day he was amazed at the minimal damage coincident with extinguishing the blaze and he expressed to us the fact that their prompt and efficient efforts would result in a significant reduction in the cost of the overall insurance claim. According to the adjuster, this is usually not the case in larger centres with full time fire departments. Once again, a very sincere thank you for a Job well done! A well organized, efficient and caring group of volunteers is just one more benefit of living in a small town. Irene & Brian Hall and all of the staff of Waypoint Financial Group Inc.
