"'This has been very rough for us, we will never be hack, it is

AUGIIS'i'- It's refunds or a substitute offer for hundreds of
ticket -holders after the Dog's Nest music fest laid an egg with
the cancellation of Saturday's Bad Company concert, the
event's promoter says. "Encourage people to hang on to their
tickets;' Isaac Weir, president of iinbro-area Vicar Entertain-
ment, said Monday after the concert at the Grand Bend
Motorplex was cancelled abruptly. "We will either have
another offering to substitute for tickets or we will try and
arrange refunds."
'The Dog's Nest event was to run from 'Thursday to Satur-
day. Ronnie ilawkins-tied performers dominated Thursday's
hill. But the final day was cancelled as ticket sales failed to
come close to meeting costs. When a $500,000 cost figure for
the fest was suggested, Weir responded: "Not even half that ..
. What's necessary about putting a number on (it)?" 11.S. per-
former Jim Belushi went on to play friday night's show --
despite being paid about half his fee estimated at $50,000 -
even as Weir announced the Bad Company had news.
