In the mid 1970s what was known as the Grand Bend Art Club came together in a vacant storefront. 'There they practiced their craft, held art shows, outdoor markets and even fundraisers. Puck Merkies and others were inst ru - mental in getting the club started and today, more than three decades later, the club continues to flourish. 'They original group moved to the Town Hall on Main Street (the cur- rent police station).
