The Lines Between are a straight up rock band
hailing from Southwestern Ontario, formed by
drummer/lead singer -songwriter Lance Bedard
and at the Halloween bash in Zurich on October
28th you can get their newest EP.
Since their birth in 2009 the group has become a
musical powerhouse and deliver a live show that is
not only intense but diverse and dynamic. The
Lines Between have made it clear to listeners why
they are here and why they aren't going anywhere.
"We play rock... thats what we do," says Bedard
adding rock has been around for years and they
feel like they're different by not trying to be differ-
ent. This group consists of 3 guys from Zurich. With
Lance Bedard on vocals and drums, Nick Haberer
on guitar and James Debus on bass the band is
constantly writing and consistently giving their
fans what they want to hear. Having released 2 EP's
since 2009 (under the name "Lance Bedard") the
albums have spawned 3 singles to nearly 30 radio
stations in Ontario. In this time the group has
undergone many changes and all for the better. A
new sound, line-up and band name were all very
important to the growth and survival of this group
and the results are undeniable. in return The Lines
Between have been fortunate to find great support
in Canada and are proudly endorsed by "Carparelli
Guitars" and "Traynor Amps': 2012 shows great
promise for this up and coming rock trio.
"This year we've made a point of playing every-
where and anywhere we can, We understand the
band is still young and we have to earn a mune for
ourselves. We've especially made a point of grow-
ing our natne outside of Huron County to avoid
over exhausting ourselves from our home town
audience," says Bedard.
The band members say there is no way to
describe how amazing it feels when you see the
crowd singing along with your original songs. "Its
an even greater feeling when they're singing along
with the first listen. It means we've done our job as
song writers. We work very hard at making our
music accessable for fans of any musical genre.
Whether it be country, rock, hard rock or easy rock
we try our hardest to reach every listener."
When the guys heard there was a nomination
process for Greater Grand Bend's Leaders of the
Decade, they knew theywanted to nominate the
Colonial families. "We are very proud to have nom-
inated the Colonial," says Bedard, " The Msons,
Mussers and McCanns have gone far and beyone
their call of duty for the Grand Bend community
and have been extremely supportive to not only
The Lines Between but other local indie artists as
well. They've provided us with a venue we can
proudly call home and we are so lucky to have
them on our side. Grand Bend has an enormous
draw and Gables is a venue that every indie artist
would love to have on their resume. 'They've
spoiled us and we are so gracious. We spoke as a
band and felt this the least we could do for our
friends at the Colonial.
The new EP introduces The Lines Between. it's a
collection of seven songs they've been working on
for the past year and a half. Its one of true diversity
and shows the audience something much different
from their efforts as the former Lance Bedard
Band. "Its melodic, dynamic and very radio
friendly," says Bedard. Their first single Eighteen
has done very well so far and has been added to or
played on at least 20 different radio stations in
Ontario and even one in British Columbia. "We've
also just released the official music video for l.iglu
een and we encourage everyone to check it out mut
share it with their friends and family via social net -
working (Facebook,'Ivitter, Myspace). Our other
rock singles New In 'Town and Bain On Ale are in
the early stages of promotion but have been recog-
nized by a hand full of radio stations as well."
