The Grand Bend Community Foundation
is proud to honour the following excep-
tional individuals who have enriched our
community through their creativity,
energy, and selfless service.

know it represents only a few of the won-
derful leaders in our community, 'There

Grand Bend Public school grade eight stu-
dents are doing a school fundraiser to help
out victims of the August 21 tornado that
ripped through Goderich. The fundraiser is
within the school. In a note to the Grand
Bend Lakers families, Paige Elliot and Rae-
gan I layter wrote, "We are raising money to
help the town of Goderich with their recov-
ery from the devastating tornado that hit just
recently. Some of our families here in Grand
Bend were affected by this disaster. Let's join
together and help our neighbours in their
time of need!"

The annual Thanksgiving Market was held
in downtown Grand Bend last weekend,
and the Chamber of Commerce would like
to thank all of you who came out and sup-
ported our vendors and merchants.
Many thanks go out to the municipality
for letting merchants use the nice new side-
walks for merchandise, and the market ven-
dors for coming out and supporting us and
the Womens Institute who co-sponsored
the event. Twenty-two vendors partici-
pated, Special thanks to the weather guy
who made shopping outdoors so much fun!
The next big event is the Christmas
Conies Early November 12th and kith. See
