WALPER, Alan Harold - Peacefully, at
South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Sunday,
October 2, 2011, Alan Harold Waiper of
Queensway Retirement Home, Hensall,
formerly of RR 3, Parkhill "Mollard Line" age
89. Beloved husband of the late Norma
Marie (Steinbach) Waiper (2002). Loved
father of Marilyn and Dave Brenner of
Grand Bend, Steven and Phyllis Waiper of
Toronto. Loving grandpa of Olivia Norma
Jean Waiper and the anticipated arrival of
twins in February. Dear brother of Helen
Becker of New Hamburg, brother-in-law of
Ann Steinbach of Zurich and Jim Hackett of
Aurora. Also remembered by his nieces,
nephew and their families, Predeceased by
brothers -In-law Wally Becker, Edgar
Steinbach, sister-in-law Florence Hackett
and parents Harold and Beatrice (Schram)
Waiper. Rested at the T. HARRY
HOFFMAN & SONS FUNERAL HOME,
Dashwood visitation was Tuesday 2 to 4
p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., where the Funeral
Service was held Wednesday, October 5,
2011 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher and
Bob Heywood officiated. Interment Grand
Bend Cemetery. If desired, memorial
donations to the Heart & Stroke
Foundation, Leukemia Research Fund or a
charity of your choice would be
appreciated. Alan was a former Reeve and
Councillor of Stephen Township, member of
Huron County Council and was an active
member of his Church and agricultural

RILEY, Patrick "Pat" - At South Huron
Hospital, Exeter on Wednesday, October 5,
2011 in his 45th year of Grand Bend and
formerly of Hensall. Beloved son of Susan
Riley of Hensall and the late Leslie Riley
(1997). Sadly missed by his "Bro" Duke.
Dear grandson of Wyn Riley of Seaforth
and the late Bert and Elizabeth Riley and
the late William Stinson. Survived by his
work mom" Karen Courtney of Varna,
friend Neil McAllister and his children and
his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pat was an avid athlete participating in
baseball, volleyball and broomball. He
enjoyed his time working at Bluewater
Youth Centre as a corrections officer. He
and his mother Sue have fulfilled his dream
of traveling over the last few years making
their way to New York, Boston, Chicago,
Arizona, Eastern Canada and Portugal.
Friends called at the HASKETT
FUNERAL HOME, 370 William Street, 1
block west of Main, Exeter on Friday 2-4
and 7-9 PM. The funeral service was held
at Hensall United Church, 76 King Street,
Hensall on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11
AM Rev. Chaplain Andy Hahn
officiated. Interment Staffa Cemetery.
