The 5th Annual Reg Dog
(;lassie Tri -at -lawn,
held Sept. 24, was blessed
with perfect weather for 23
teams to challenge each
other in the lawn games of
holey board, horseshoes
and kubb. This family
friendly competition
included participants rang-
ing from ten years of age to
60 plus. After the nine reg-
ulation games, the top
eight finalists were the
teams of, Chris Gingerich
and Dan (:alsell, Jamie and
Lea -Anne Rattler, Dave
(;ackstetter and Ben Gin-
gerich, Cory Gingerich and
Brian Gingerich, Ron Ben-
ning and Curtis Regier, Jack
and Elena Baker, (:olid
Gingerich and Josh
Brldeau, and Chris Fielder
and Derek Masse. After the
playoff format the victors
of this year were the teams
of Gory Gingerich and
Brian Gingerich (gold),
Chris Gingerich and Dan
Calzell (sliver) and Derek
Masse and Chris Fielder
(bronze). OVer $1,000 was
raised for the Bluewater
1)evelopment Foundation:
Cliff Gingerich Memorial
Fund and Hockey Minis-
tries International. 'Thanks
to the local businesses and
individuals who donated
the door prizes.
Six members of the
Ladies Auxiliary from the
Blue Water Rest Morale
traveled to 'Tiverton Park
Manor with our activity
coordinator, Stacey Palen
Sept. 28. '('here were 47
auxiliary members who
attended the annual
regional meeting from var-
ious places. The speaker
was Kevin Morrison from
Goderich. President Edna
McLellan chaired the busi-
ness portion with reports
given by each auxiliary of
their events.
A panel discussion was
held following a delicious
lunch and we all enjoyed a
tour of the manor before
leaving.
The '2012 annual regional
meeting will be at the Blue
Water Rest !Lome Sept. 8.
The Zurich Lions Club
held their monthly meet-
ing Sept. 28 with president
1 lenry l )rzewiecki officiat-
ing. After the singing of, 'O
Canada' and the Lion's
grace, 14 members and two
lion cubs enjoyed a deli-
cious dither.
After the business por-
tion of the meeting, lion
Jenny introduced the guest,
District Governor Lion
Norma Peterson, who gave
told inspirational presenta-
tion. She then inducted
two new lions, Allan Fulker
and Rob Waye.

The Lutheran church
ladies will be holding their
monthly meeting Oct. 6 at
p.m. Guest speaker is
Carol Steckle. Everyone is
invited to attend.
