Cutting
for a cause
It was very important for Avery McCoy to
have her hair go to a good cause,
Avery 9, a Grand Bend Public School
student has not had a "real" hair cut
and this was her chance to not only
get a new do- but to help a child with
cancer. She donated 9" of her hair and
stylist Julie Clarke will help to make
sure this hair goes to a Canadian agency
that specializes in wigs for children with
cancer,

Dinner for eight delicious Ingrid and Klaus Luebke of Port Franks were the
winners of the Huron untry Playhouse Guild's Elegant Dinner For Eight. The gourmet dinner
was held Saturday September 10th at the home of Guild President, Ann Robertson, The Luebkes
and six of their friends were treated to an incredible dinner prepared by Custom Catering by
Stephen and Barbara, F I.N.E. A Restaurant and the Tt)scan Greek Restaurant. The beef tenderloin
was provided by Metzger's In Hensall.

Michelle Gerrie is esatic with the local
support as she gathered clothes and
furniture for victims of Goderich's August
21 tornado disaster. She does warn
though- before you take your donations
to Goderich-call first. With a trailer half
filled, she drove to St. Vincent de Paul
in Goderich only to learn although they
appreciate the donations- many of the
people have no homes for the furniture
and nowhere to hang the clothing- thus
the agency is running out of room.
Gerrie is still collecting the donations -
but will wait until she gets a call to deliver
it to the people who need it. The drop off
location here is the Grand Bend Legion.
