Peter Kelly received a graduate
degree in Physical Geography
from the University of Western
Ontario. ilere, he conducted
fieldwork in the Canadian Cor-
dillera and on Devon Island in the
High Arctic. Ile has travelled
extensively and photographed on
all continents, including Antarc-
tica. As a member of the Cliff
Ecology Research (roup at the
University of Guelph, he spent 17
years in ecological and conserva-
tion work on the ancient cedars of
the Niagara Escarpment. Ile has
co-authored two previous books
related to cliff ecology, published
extensively in the popular and
scientific press and given numer-
ous talks to a wide range of audi-
ences. Ile is currently the
research Director for the rare
Charitable Research Reserve, a
913 acre land reserve along the
Grand and Sneed Rivers. Peter
currently resides in Guelph,
Ontario.
Partners in Learning is based
on a peer -learning concept that
has proven to be a great success
in many communities throughout
Canada and the world. A local,
non-profit group of volunteers
has undertaken to provide this
unique enrichment progr to
the (rand Bend and are;tn
munity. The Fall program starts
on September 19 and runs every
Monday until November 28.
