HomeMy WebLinkAboutLakeshore Advance, 2011-08-17, Page 12W Blyth Festival is hosting complimentary Writing in the Village workshops Blyth, Ontario, August 12, 2011— The Blyth Festival is offering two complimentary writing workshops this summer that will explore the world of writing plays. Local playwright Paul Clufo who wrote Reverend Jonah, A Killing Snow and Narcisse will be sharing his writ- ing process on September 1. Blyth Festival's playwright in residence Marion de Vries will also be sharing her writing process August 16. Both workshops will be held at the Blyth Memorial Nall at 4:00pm free of charge. Mr. Cuifo is well known locally as well as interna- tionally in the theatre world. Ile was nominated in 2008 for the Governor General's literary Award for Drama for Reverend Jonah. Ms. De Vries is no stranger to the Blyth Festi- val she was the assistant director of The Stone Angel and director of Wilbur County Blues.
