"We all know someone who has made an exceptional contri- butions to this commu- nity, enriching it through his or her leadership and vision? So, now is your chance to celebrate his or her contributions," says the enthusiastic committee. You can nominate anyone who: Lives or lived in the Greater Grand Bend area Has provided volunteer leader- ship in our community for most of the past 10 years Is not currently holding politi- cal office. All qualified nominees will be recognized at the gala. It's easy to nominate. Mail or hand deliver the nomination fee (a $100 donation to the Grand Bend Community Foundation - tax receipt availa- ble) by the nomination deadline. The dollars will be used to fund this event. You are being asked to write a 100 word explanation as to why this person is being acknowl- edged and the committee is more than happy to help you write that. " A lot has happened since 2001 and we need to step back and cel- ebrate those accomplishments - to celebrate the people who made it happen," says committee mem- ber Pat Morden. The gala will be a dress -up, fun event on October 28th.
