Marcel Beau- hien of Petrolia, Ontario, to the hoard of directors of the Blue Water Bridge Authority for it three- year term, effective lune 23, 2011. "1 atm pleased that Mr. Beaubien has agreed to serve on the Blue Water Bridge Authority's hoard," said Minister Lebel. "1lis dedication to his com- munity, his leadership and his experience will be a great asset in his new role." Mr. Beaubien was a member of the provincial parliament of Ontario from 1995 to 2003 for Lambton-hent-Middlesex. Ile served as parlia- mentary assistant to the Minister of Finance and to the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Aftairs. The Canadian half of the Blue Water Bridge is owned and operated by Blue Water Bridge Can- ada, a federal Grown corporation. With approxi- mately 5,000 commercial vehicles crossing the bridge daily, it is Canada's second -busiest inter- national commercial crossing for trucks and is the third busiest for total vehicles. Representatives from the province of Ontario were in Exeter on lune 23 to announce the $2.5 million funding to support the renovations. According to a press release, the fund- ing will be used to ensure that those stu- dents in 2012 will have appropriate space for their own use. Some of the money will also he used to enhance the secondary school programming.
