was held in the parish hall on
June 21 with 17 members attend-
ing. President Theresa Kester
read "A Five Finger Prayer" and
welcomed everyone.

Jane Bedard, treasurer's report by
Janet Soudant and convenor
reports from Doreen Hartman,
patty Hunt and Debbie Pennings.
The league and Knights of
Columbus purchased new fold-
ing tables for the hall and rosary
and cases for Grade 8 graduates.

first communion and confirma-
tion students and their families
to cake and refreshments.
Quilt tickets and money can lx•
returned to the drum at back of
the church. A motion was made
to look into buying a sun tent for
the pie troth at the Bean Festival
on Aug. 27.
Vacation Bible School will be
held from July 11 to 15 with St.
Boniface CWl. On Fri., June 17
approx. fix) seniors of the Zurich
Mennonite Church were treated
to a supper by the senior youth
group, to show their appreciation
for their help throughout the
year.
Several men and lx)ys from the
Mennonite church spent the
weekend camping at Cypress
[sake from June 24 to 26.

tival in Zurich at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church on Wed., July
13 at 8 p.m. are now available

Now that school will be done
for the summer months, the prin-
cipal at Zurich Public (Mr. David
Bennett) will be leaving and
going to 11oln1esville Public
School in the fall and Betty Beer-
VanRooy will be the new (and
previous) principal in Zurich.
Betty will help with the school's
transition to 1lensall in 2012.
At Precious Blood School,
principal Mike Bruneel will be
the principal at St. Jude's School
in Ingersoll. Brent Langan will be
the new St. Boniface principal.

There will be a blood donor
clinic at the Zurich Mennonite
church hall on Sat., July 9 at 10
a.m.
Pop cans are still being col-
lected by the Knights of Colum-
bus for the building fund (Attie
St. Boniface Church. Please drop
them off at the home of John
Jacobs (l lensall), Mike Miller (St.
Joseph) or Doug Delius (Zurich).

A buck and doe was held on
Fri., June 24 at the complex for
Kevin Regier and Amy McCabe.
Kevin is the son of David and
Tracey Regier, 112 Zurich. The
couple is planning to be married
in September.
Congratulations to Ted and
Janet Soudant, 113 Zurich who
celebrated their 30th anniversary
on June 27.
!hippy 92nd birthday wishes
go out to John Groot, Zurich on
June 16. Family members and
relatives were on hand to help
hiin celebrate for a couple of
days.
Delores and Val Gingerich
along with Sandi McCarron and
Pearl Ann Martin recently
enjoyed a trip to Pennsylvania.
1 [ighlights of the trip were seeing
all the beautiful scenery, the
Amish farms, a horse and buggy
ride and lots of great food. They
also attended the "Sight and
Sound" Theatre where they saw
the production of the story of
Joseph. The live animals, spec-
tacular props and wonderful cast
certainly brought this Bible story
to life.
Congratulations to bride and
groom, Lindsay Regier and John
Miners who were married on
June 25 at the Christian Reformed
Church in Exeter with dinner and
reception held at the rec centre.
Lindsay is the daughter of Sam
and Julie Regier, 113 Zurich. The
couple is living in Exeter.

Dashwood Community Centre
for Natalie LaPorte and Matt
Steeper on June 26 with several
friends and relatives attending.
Natalie is the daughter of Dwayne
and Theresa LaPorte Zurich. The
wedding is being planned for
July. Larry and Karen McGregor,
Zurich along with friends spent
the past week in Cuba at a resort.
A baby shower was held at the
home of Cheryl and Martin Geli-
nas on June 25 for granddaughter
Melody Veda who was born on
June 3 to Marcel and Amy of
Ilderton, with family members
and relatives attending. May we

family and relatives of the late
Mary Romanisyzn who died
recently at the rest home in
Zurich.
