said MPP Maria Van Hommel as
she was officially nominated
last night in Strathroy to run for
,miLre-election in 1,amhton-Kent-
'�Middlesex.
"We have a plan for a brighter
future, and we are sticking to it
as the economy is now turning
the corner," said Van Rommel,
at the Strathroy & Area Senior's
Centre 'Thursday night. Van
Rommel was first elected in the
2003 provincial election and
she currently serves as Parlia-
mentary Assistant to the Minis-
ter of Agriculture.
"People are telling me that
Ontario and l.ambton-Kent-
Middlesex are getting better.
Not with the wave of some
magic wand. Not overnight. But
with hard work and commit-

She outlined positive., pro-
gressive steps made to 1)011(1 it

times are being measured as
Ontario leads the nation in
lower waits for key surgeries.
• Full-day kindergarten,
including (:aradoc North just
outside Strathroy, Delaware
Central, (111(i Sooll Christ the
King in Wallaceburg and
Good Shepherd in 'l'hanles-
ville, by 2014, our goal Is to
have F1)K in all 4,000 Ontario
elementary schools.
IN Stability for farmers, includ-
ing a new Risk Management
Program for all commodities,
including pork and horticul-
ture crops.
The fixed date for the next
provincial election is October 6,
2011.
