St. Anne's celebrated all that students
ifit(10 to snake a positive change this
week. On Wednesday, April 13th
s idents participated in International
Pink Day where we wore a substantial
amount of pink to take a stand against
bullying and to celebrate diversity.
Also, on Wednesday the school's band
competed at the Kiwanis festival in
Stratford with great success. Students
shared their talents with the public and
the school on April 14th and 15th at the
Celebration of the Arts. Students
performed, displayed their art work,
and the actors of the school performed
their hit play "Its Not You, Its Me"
All of our Spring Sports teams are
gearing up for an exciting season.
Members of the Junior Badminton
team competed in a tournatnent in
Mitchell and we had a lot fun hosting
the I boron -Perth Elementary Basketball
Tournament. We also had a blast
hosting the All Girls Dance on
Saturday, April 16th, where girls from
around I luron County canoe together
to help our sisters in Kenya build a high
school. As we enter into holy Week,
it's important to be grateful for
everything that we have to remember
that we have a responsibility to help
others. We wish everyone a Blessed
Easter!

spring weather is coming fast and we
LOVE it! Last Monday Ray John Ir
came in to give our students the
opportunity to get to know each other
better and to learn some friendship
dances and new things about our
selves. Last
week on Tuesday our grade 3/4's
went for a swim in Vanastra and plan
on going the next two Tuesdays! Also
on Tuesday 5 students from our grades
7 & 8 classes went to Stratford to the
highschool for a conference hosted by
David Suzuki. They made a
wonderful presentation with the
help and intelligence of Mr. Ilundey
our grade 7/8 teacher. Also last week
on Wednesday, some students from
the South Iluron District high School
came in to talk with our grade 8s about
what to expect in high school which
was very interesting because we got
to learn about what our school year is
going to be like and what to expect
with homework and the rush. On last
Thursday our grade 4 and 5's head to
Exeter Public School for a french
concert performed by lull Powers. It
was full of exciting songs and a great
learning experience. This week we
have our Easter egg hunt put on by our

Helping the stray cat issues
Ib the editor:
In the village of Grand Bend, it is not
uncommon to find stray or abandoned,
lost cats living " on the streets " . They
usually lack sufficient food and proper
shelter from dreadfully cold and wet
weather . Perhaps it is time once more,
to address our stray cat concern with a
concerted effort to improve their living
conditions . By helping these homeless
cats/ kittens, we are also helping to
avoid side issues to our indoor cats .
Some of the strays this past winter
have been fortunate in the sense that
they have been receiving food from a
few kind individuals . It is believed,
how -ever, that more could be done for
our homeless cats .
If you would like to help in any fash-
ion, please call either Susan at 519- 238-

friends with their shelter, feeding, and
other needs . In the meantime we
would appreciate any loaning of rea-

Readers want councilors moved out
lb tineditor:
'thanks to Bob Fisher for writing the
letter (April 13) that fits half the
Bluewater council perfectly. If the
chosen few on council cannot do
their job properly, (grow up and act
like real people) then they should
resign.
We don't need babies on council
who do nothing but play with their
soothers- wake up voters and let's
move these councilors out. If we don't
do something soon then they will try
students council. Many students will
get to test their hunting skills before
Easter Day. We also don't have school
on Friday or Monday due to
the fun holiday that is upcoming! On
April 29th our students are getting very
excited for the Much Dance at the
South Huron Rec. Centre. It is 10$ for a
ticket at school but if you don't get it
in titne it's 12$ at the door. It will he a
fun night of
dancing and hanging out with
friends! Talk to you next week! Enjoy
the weather.

Photos of any stray cats in your own
area would be helpful and will be
placed on our web site as a means of
helping in identification.
'there are little and big ways of assist-
ing with our homeless cats so please
don't hesitate m call or email us. We
would appreciate any positive input and
ideas from you with regards to helping
the felines in our neighborhoods.
With sincere thanks,

If it weren't enough that
we have spring and the
Stanley Cup playoffs all at
once, some joker comes
along and says there's an

resonance in the cool

While watching the first

realized a couple of things.
First, that the only time that
I watch this game anymore
on the tube is when the kids
are over. The second is the
size of the players in relation
to the smallest player on the

rinks they now play on. Wharram, Eric Nestrenanko
