Rosa, 17 -year-old (rand Bend resident and student at South Huron District Secondary School, is set to perform for the Bach Music Festival with her five -member group of fellow students who are taking music to a whole other level. "I'm her groupie," says IRosa's proud atom, Mary Jo Sehottroff-Shopko, noting Rosa picked up the trumpet for the first time in (rade 9, and has since blossomed into a multi -faceted and talented musician. "They're all very passionate about their music," says Mary lo, noting her daughter and fellow hand members are often holding extra practices and performing wherever and when- ever they can. And their love of music, she adds, has been fuelled by the "passionate" teachers at til itis. The other members of Rosa's tight -knit crew are Norma Van, of London, Doug Klopp, of Zurich, Jamie McLellan, and Mathias Mennill, of Exeter.
