Rosa Snopko already hits a groupie.
Rosa, 17 -year-old (rand Bend resident and
student at South Huron District Secondary
School, is set to perform for the Bach Music
Festival with her five -member group of fellow
students who are taking music to a whole other
level.
"I'm her groupie," says IRosa's proud atom,
Mary Jo Sehottroff-Shopko, noting Rosa picked
up the trumpet for the first time in (rade 9, and
has since blossomed into a multi -faceted and
talented musician.
"They're all very passionate about their
music," says Mary lo, noting her daughter and
fellow hand members are often holding extra
practices and performing wherever and when-
ever they can. And their love of music, she adds,
has been fuelled by the "passionate" teachers at
til itis.
The other members of Rosa's tight -knit crew
are Norma Van, of London, Doug Klopp, of
Zurich, Jamie McLellan, and Mathias Mennill,
of Exeter.
