Indoor, outdoor yard sale at Mennonite Church April 93

The annual Return of the Swans Festi-
val runs until Sun., April 3 at the Lamb -
ton Heritage Museum. This festival also
k(cludes an art show.
There will be an Indoor/outdoor yard
sale at the Zurich Mennonite Church on
Sat., April 9.
The Blue Water Zurich Skating Club
will be having its yea rend potluck sup-
per and awards night at the complex on
Tues., April 5 starting at 6:30 p.m.
St. Boniface and St. Peter's (St. Joseph)
youth group held its last meeting on
March 24. The evenings was spent as a
games night with leaders, parents and
relatives attending.
The Quilters Guild held its March
meeting at the Lutheran church hall
with a good attendance and guest
speaker. They will meet again on Mon-
day, April 18 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. with
Pres. Denise Heighington.
During March break, several students
from St. Anne's School in Clinton went
on a class mission trip to Costa Rica
while others travelled on a pilgrimmage
to Italy.
The Has Beans hockey team played in
a tournarnent last weekend in Niagara
Falls.
St. Boniface CWL held its meting on
March 15 with 18 members and one
guest present. The CWL watched a slide
presentation on development and
peace.
Pres. Theresa Kester chaired the busi-
ness with reports given by Julie Becker,
Janet Soudant, Kathlene Roulston, Jane
Bedard, Doreen Hartman, Patty Hunt,
Patti Geoffrey and Bella Soudant.
Joan Regier showed everyone the
beautiful quit which the ladies made for
the Bean Festival draw. Tickets can be
obtained from Patty Hunt.
The March for Life will be in Ottawa
on Thurs., May 12 with pick up for our
area in Stratford. If enough interest is
shown, a bus will be booked for two
days. For more info call Bella Soudant at
236-4178 as soon as possible.
There will be a Perpectual Adoration
at St. Boniface Church on Fri, April 1
from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Come and spend
some time praying that day.
The door prize was won by Mary -Lou
Denomme.

Marilyn and Dave Durand of RR2
Zurich are happy to announce the
arrival of their granddaughter Kaela
Elizabeth who was born recently on
March 3 to proud parents Kristen And
Darcy Kral of Brantford.
Kenny Overholt has now moved into
is new home on John St. North which
was formerly the Klopp house.
A belated surprise birthday party/
shower was held for Patty Geoffrey on
Sat., March 19 on the occasion of her big
50th birthday. Several ladies attended
the event. Geoffrey's actual birthday was
March 10.
Sharon Sims of Port Alma spent the
weekend visiting with her daughter
Rosie Rothenberg and family.
Wow, What a great time 1 had spend-
ing five days in Toronto during the
March break. My family gave the train
tickets to me as a gift. On arrival at
Union Station, my granddaughter Heidi
Klopp was there to meet me and we
enjoyed going to the Bata Shoe Museum.
I Ieidi lives in Toronto during the week.
We then went to the Distillery District
where daughter Meagan works at Yellow
Ilouse Events.
While n Toronto, we enjoyed lots of
meals out and shopping, as well as
attending the "Billy Elliott" live musical
play at the Canon Theatre. A surprise
gift from Meagan.
We also took the Go train to Pickering
on Saturday to visit with another grand-
daughter, Brittany Eybergen. We even
had green beer on St. Patrick's Day.
Chuck and Tanya Erb along with
some family members recently spent
2-1/2 weeks at Orlando, Florida.
A buck and doe was held for Kara
Welch and Gary Doyle on Sat., March 19
at the Bluewater Complex in Zurich. The
couple is to be married in May.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to
Madison Grainger, daughter of Shawn
and Christine, who recently had
appendicitis.
Richard and Brenda Schilbe and farn-
ily recently spent two weeks in Fioria
together.
